Today, the first official day of fall break for TUSD students, is the first day of Vantage Bowling Centers' $5 special.
Brittney Ballenger, 6, lets fly at Tucson Bowl, 7020 East 21st
St. "It's a very family-oriented activity - very inclusive of any
age and ability. Not all sports can handle that," says Gary Gaynor
Jr., manager of the center.
Jon Herron, left, watches Red Crawford play cards between turns
at the lane at Tucson Bowl.
You can't bowl in street shoes, so bowling shoes are a must on
the wooden lanes. Virtually every size is available.
Find a ball that fits your style or, if you bowl regularly, have
one made to your personal specifications.
This is the last installment of a series of weekly features
about fun forays for families.
