A former north-side eyesore that drew the ire of neighbors and area businesses has gotten a face-lift.
Vista Sierra Apartments was a vacant, boarded-up complex that had become a magnet for taggers and squatters. Town West Design Development bought it last year after the Section 8 requirement was removed.
The complex, now known as Casa Presidio Apartment Homes, is now leasing one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments ranging from $735 for a one-bedroom to $1,485 for a two-bedroom unit with a den.
Ramon Ley, left, and José Hernandez work on an apartment. Casa Presidio also features a new pool, spa and fitness center.
