The Golf Club At Dove Mountain
Course work is year-round labor of love
Work crews have spent months getting The Golf Club at Dove Mountain ready for this week's WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship. A member of the crew spent time earlier this month mowing a fairway.
Winning usually precedes subpar season
After Tiger Woods won here in 2008, he won the U.S. Open and was second at the Masters. His success after winning is the exception to the rule. However, his season ended after the U.S. Open with a knee injury.

Bubba Watson had a chance to win on No. 18, but missed a 6-foot putt. "You get mad at yourself at how easy that putt was," he said. Watson finished the job on the fourth extra hole, eliminating ex-UA standout Jim Furyk.

It is 8:30 a.m., and my hands are really cold. My shoes are muddy. Water from melting snow drips from the top of an NBC trailer onto my neck.
