Three principals whose contracts were not renewed in April because schools were at risk of being labeled failing are being given a second chance after their students made significant improvement in achievement.
The Tucson Unified School District is recommending that contracts not be renewed for four principals in charge of schools that are at risk of being labeled failing.
The TUSD Governing Board approved a contract for Superintendent John Pedicone Tuesday night and agreed to award him a $35,000 bonus in performance pay.
