GLENDALE - It seemed as if Allie Scott and Gabrielle Courtney of Pusch Ridge Christian were in control of their Division III girls doubles match Saturday after winning the first set, but a state title doesn't come easy.
A herd of more than 100 bighorn sheep once roamed the Catalina Mountains, and animals were often seen in the vicinity of Pusch Ridge on the western edge of the range. The herd died out about a decade ago. Transplanted animals could replace it.
