Source is identified in leaks of US gov't surveillance programs
WASHINGTON — A 29-year-old contractor who claims to have worked at the National Security Agency and the CIA allowed himself to be revealed Sunday as the source of disclosures about the U.S. government’s secret surveillance programs, risking prosecution by the U.S. government.
Program's aim: Get new hookers off the street, into counseling
It wasn't the usual crowd at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church that night. Instead of church members braving the cold, windy night and gathering to pray, social workers, police officers, prosecutors, a City Council member, a judge and suspected prostitutes came and went throughout the night.
