Juliane Wilson, with Lush's design team, readies for today's opening of the Tucson cosmetics store, one of 168 in North America. The first store opened in England in 1995. The store says its products are made ethically and nothing is tested on animals.

Store sells 'fresh' cosmetics

Here's what the inside of the store looks like. Two-thirds of Lush's products are unpackaged, and the rest use recycled packaging. Customers are encouraged to recycle as well; the store's "black pots" can be redeemed for a free face mask.

New Tucson store sells 'fresh' cosmetics

Lush, the "delicatessen of the skin-care world," is opening its first Tucson store today at La Encantada. The 722-square-foot store is looking to employ 20 to 30 part- and full-time workers.
