A truck drives out of the county-run Tangerine Landfill last week. Marana is moving to annex some of vice mayor Herb Kai's land, which Kai plans to sell to a company that will build a landfill on it. The county has said it would close the Tangerine Landfill in mid-2009, but it remains open.
