Three boys were cited for reckless burning Monday after they played with fireworks, which started a brush fire in the Santa Cruz River in Marana, authorities said.
Marana’s Star Spangled Spectacular, held July 4, featured a fireworks show that included 545 shells, including 106 during the grand finale. The shells were three and four inches long, according to town of Marana spokesman Rodney Campbell.
