PHOENIX - Mining companies and other businesses would be allowed to keep environmental studies secret, even if they detailed possible pollution problems, under industry-backed legislation that gained final House approval Monday.
The state Senate easily approved a bill Tuesday that would allow companies to keep secret environmental audits they conduct of their operations.
