Arizona softball season opener: Old faces, new faces — and lots of switching places
The Arizona Wildcats will have a new starter everywhere but pitcher when they take the field for the first time today.

Down 9-1 heading into the fourth inning Wednesday night, things didn't get any better for the Wildcats in an exhibition with the National Pro Fastpitch All-Stars. Shortstop Shelby Pendley, left, failed to glove this ball, and left fielder Chelsea Suitos couldn't come up with it, either.

UA third baseman Brigette Del Ponte tags National Pro Fastpitch All-Star Nikia Williams for the final out in the top of the third inning. The All-Stars scored nine runs in the third, including one driven in by the UA softball team's director of operations, Caitlin Lowe.
