Annuhar Jesus Ruiz, 29, was arrested July 16, 2013, on five felony counts of vulnerable adult abuse, class 4 felonies. He was arrested along with Elisa Moreno, 67, both workers at a residential care facility, who are suspected of beating a 93-year-old woman in hospice. According to the sheriff’s department report, the pair, “on multiple occasions, had struck a patient with an open hand and fist, hit the same patient with a remote control unit and other objects. Additionally, the same patient was thrown onto her bed and into her wheelchair.”
