Business Overview

The Santa Maria Community Church is intentionally Biblical, Relevant, Casual, and Relational, worshiping in a contemporary service. We have heart for those who do not know Christ, and for the youth of our community -- as they represent our future and our leaders. We strive to be a resource for our community, using our means to meet various needs. We do not exist to go through the motions of church, but to make every effort to live out our lives so that our God is honored through our actions.
Jesus Christ is our single focus and His mission and His purposes are why we have chosen to follow Him. Jesus Christ came to save the world from their sin and offer the love and hope available only through Him. SRCC is committed to sharing our hope, our Lord, and His ways so that all may enjoy the blessings and transformation that Jesus Christ offers to those who accept Him as their Lord, and Savior.
Join us this Sunday and find out how Santa Rita Community Church is the place for you. We offer ministries for all ages and some of the warmest and welcoming people in Vail. Try us out and you be the judge. We look forward to having you visit with us, and, hopefully, making us your church family.

More About Us
Our Vision
Loving God. Loving Others. Living Life Together.
In the Matthew's gospel, we learn that everything God desires of us is summed up in two commands: Love God and love others. Born out of God's deep love for us, we have the capacity to love others. And love is not experienced through programs and doctrinal statements. Instead, love is experienced as we enter life together in all the highs and lows, successes and struggles, and living life the way God intended for us.
To overcome the sin that hinders our living out the Christian faith, all of us depend on God's love and power to demonstrate Christ's example of unconditional love. He relates to us in the same merciful and forgiving way He expects us to live towards one another. Also, He intends for us to recognize and serve Him as the one, true God He claims to be. As He has shown incredible, undeserved love towards us, He expects that we will respond in kind. God's people will witness amazing and miraculous changes personally and corporately when we choose to commit our lives to God in faith and love.
The Church will be an unstoppable force that wields tremendous influence to transform a community when those within God's community of faith intentionally love God and others each and every day. The Bible never teaches us to live in isolation, but with open arms and in community with all. "Living Life Together" offers actions to our words and influence based on our beliefs. In short, Christianity is more believable and powerful when it is lived out in front of others so that we are examples of Christ, first and foremost.

OUR FAITH
We Believe:
THE BIBLE |
The Holy Scriptures are the Word of God, divinely inspired by God's Spirit, without error in their original version, and so that mankind may personally know God and God's ways for living.
GOD |
In one true God, who is perfect and holy, sovereign, omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient; Creator of all things, who exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
JESUS CHRIST |
Jesus Christ is the Son of God and co-equal to the Father, sent to earth as a man to redeem man from his sin. Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin birth, died on a cross, and was buried. He rose from the dead three days later as prophesied and ascended back into heaven where He mediates between God and man, seated on His throne in heaven. He will return to earth at a time appointed by and known only to God.
HUMANITY |
Mankind was created in the image of God and without sin. However, man chose disobedience to God resulting in the establishment of a sin nature passed to all generations, ultimately bringing about alienation and death. Those who die, while still alienated from God, will experience eternal punishment and a permanent isolation and from God.
SIN |
God sent Jesus Christ as His exclusive provision for mankind's sin. Through his death on the cross and his resurrection, Jesus conquered death and sin once and for all so that every person has the opportunity to have his or her relationship restored with God. Eternal salvation is God's free gift that cannot be earned or merited in any way, but comes from trusting in Christ as one's personal Savior. Through our renewed relationship with God, He promises us the power of His Holy Spirit in our lives on earth and the gift of eternal life.
HOLY SPIRIT |
The Holy Spirit enables individuals to believe in Jesus Christ and indwells each person to be renewed spiritually. Through this same Spirit believers are equipped to successfully live the Christian life as the Holy Spirit teaches, encourages, and keeps believers accountable to God's ways. Additionally, each believer is given spiritual gift(s) in order to serve God and the Church.
CHURCH |
The universal Church is made up of local congregations, where people come together for worshipping God; personal, spiritual growth; and service to God and others. God teaches He desires for all people to live according to the ways established in Scripture, summarized as loving God and loving others. Additionally, God calls all believers to reach out to the world who does not know Christ and to offer them the opportunity to accept God's free gift of salvation and the hope of eternal life. The Church conducts the ordinances of water baptism and communion to all who claim to be believers in Jesus Christ.
ETERNITY |
Jesus Christ will personally return to earth as promised, to create a new heaven and new earth free from sin for all eternity. This magnificent event could happen at any time and should encourage us to live our lives in faithful obedience to God. In eternity, Jesus will reign as the King in a perfect, holy heaven with all who believe in Jesus as Lord and Savior.
