Tax exempt status has been obtained, so that donations can be raised from the public and the Christian religious community to both, keep the costs of residency reasonable and to establish designated benefit funds into which community based organizations may contribute for needy elder care candidates.

At Elderhaven we welcome your family into our family

ELDERHAVEN is a non-denominational Christian Adult Care Home providing 24 hour care of the elderly. Reverend (Ret) Eugene L. Zerby and his wife Florence, the owners, have been caring for the elderly in Tucson since the mid-1960s. They moved to our current location in 1986. We are situated on approximately five (5) acres of the Upper Sonoran Desert in Northeast Tucson, Arizona. Our location provides refreshing views of the nearby mountains as well spectacular sunsets over the city of Tucson. We offer spacious private rooms with private bath facilities. Our services center around providing personal assistance with the Activities of Daily Living while maintaining the dignity of the resident. We have three nutritious home cooked meals daily, including roasts, lamb, ribs, homemade pies and cakes, and snacks and juices anytime. With the assistance of local Hospice organizations, we provide "aging in place". Our activities are tailored to the abilities of the residents. We strive to provide activities that are both interesting and fun for our elders. When appropriate we gladly provide:

-Light exercise daily

-Massage Therapy weekly

-Video movies on Saturday in the Great Room

-Video of Dr. Schuler's Sunday Broadcast

-Celebration of Birthdays and Holidays

-Visiting volunteers from the nearby High School provide additional interaction and socialization for the Elders.

-Approximately 1/12th mile fenced walkway surrounding the main building.

-Co-coordinated with a Daily Sitter providing one on one interaction with your loved one.

We try our best to make all our residents feel they are in the comforts of their own home surroundings. Rev. and Mrs. Zerby reside on the premises, adding to the family atmosphere. We encourage the residents family to visit and telephone frequently. It is our desire to develop and maintain a pleasant working relationship with the families of our residents.
