Jaguar in Sonora
Jaguars and ocelots are not common in the Arizona/Sonora region, but they aren't unknown, either. A jaguar was caught by a remote camera on April 8, 2011, on Rancho El Aribabi, a conservation ranch in northern Sonora lying about 30 miles south of the U.S.-Mexican border.
