About 1,600 customers lost power this evening after thunderstorms rolled through the Tucson area, according to Tucson Electric Power.

TEP has restored power to most of the customers, although there are still 250 homes without electricity, TEP said.

The power outage mostly affected people who live in the area near East Grant and North Craycroft roads.

The storm knocked down an electrical wire near the intersection.

Crews are working to repair the wire and restore power to the remaining customers.
