If you're in the market for a new pet, the Pima Animal Care Center has no shortage of friendly, furry animals.

The county-run shelter is open seven days a week - noon-7 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

It's at 4000 N. Silverbell Road. For more information, including adoption costs and how to volunteer at the shelter, go to www.pimaanimalcare.org or call 243-5900.

Be sure to ask about the reduced adoption prices on certain pets.

All the pets featured here have been spayed/neutered and have had their shots.
