A 19-year-old man was fatally shot Sunday night on Tucson’s southwest side.
Pima County sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of shots fired in the 6400 block of South Camino de la Tierra, near West Valencia Road, shortly after 11:40 p.m. and found Jesus Duarte on the ground with several gunshot wounds, Deputy Tracy Suitt, a sheriff’s department spokesman said in a news release.
Duarte was taken to University of Arizona Medical Center where he later died.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME (882-7463).
