A 31-year-old hiker missing in Catalina State Park since Sunday morning was found Monday afternoon.

Jason Bruscha, who is visiting relatives in Oro Valley, called his uncle from Saddlebrooke Country Club around 2:30 p.m., said Deputy Tom Peine, a Pima County Sheriff’s Department spokesman.

Bruscha’s uncle then notified the sheriff’s department, who sent a helicopter to pick him up and bring him back to the search command center at Catalina State Park, Peine said.

The man was dehydrated and had several abrasions on his legs and was taken to Northwest Medical Center by ambulance for treatment, Peine said.

Search and rescue crews scoured Catalina State Park after Bruscha was reported missing Sunday evening.
