Two Tucson neighborhoods will get relief from crumbling streets this month.
As part of its Pavement Preservation Program, the city plans to spend about $2 million to repair residential streets this year.
The one-year program also includes $18 million in spending on resurfacing projects for major streets.
Two chip-seal projects are starting this week in residential areas. They are:
• A midtown area near Catalina Magnet High School, between North Alvernon Way and North Jones Boulevard and between East Pima and East Bellevue streets.
• A south-side area around Pueblo Gardens Elementary School, between South Country Club Road and South Martin Avenue and between East 36th Street and South Fairland Stravenue.
