Precinct totals faded for Kelly

Jesse Kelly did not lose the special election because precincts shifted their support to Ron Barber. Instead, he lost support in most precincts compared with 2010, even the ones where he got more votes than his opponent. In areas he won, he won with fewer votes than in the 2010 election. In the areas he lost, he lost by more votes. His share of the vote last time was 2 percentage points higher in Pima County and 4 percentage points higher in Santa Cruz County, both of which he lost. He had nearly 4 percentage points more in Pinal County and 1 percentage point more in Cochise County, where he won.
