This weekend marks the start of a predicted four-day string of subfreezing and near-freezing temperatures in Southern Arizona.
Temperatures are expected to dip to the low to mid-20s in the early morning hours Saturday, and the trend will continue through early Tuesday morning, according to the National Weather Service. The coldest time of day is between 4 and 8 a.m.
A hard freeze throughout Southeast Arizona is expected Saturday, Sunday and Monday mornings, according to the Weather Service.
Highs through Monday will be in the mid- to high 50s. The high Tuesday will be 47 to 52 degrees.
