Data entry support: A peaceful, beautiful oasis has an ongoing need for accounting data input. Skill with computers and close attention to detail are most important. Some experience in bookkeeping and computerized bookkeeping systems are helpful. Due to the monastic nature of the area, only female volunteers can volunteer for this opportunity.
Rehabilitation assistant: Help patients being treated for stroke, amputation, arthritis, brain injuries, burns and other conditions. Volunteers are needed to help staff provide activities that support and facilitate achievement of rehabilitation goals established for patients.
Clean and support specialist: Help sort and clean books for the upcoming Tucson Festival of Books and Love of Reading Week. The more books volunteers prepare, the more will be available for children who need them.
Promotion and distribution: Families and individuals can get their taxes prepared for free through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program. Help get the word out by distributing flyers/brochures while you walk, ride your bike, pull the kids in a wagon or take your pet for a walk. This is for individuals or groups. Flyers are provided; you choose your schedule and a location.
