All about dogs: Place dogs in an exercise area, play with them and monitor them. Hose out cages, change their bed covers, feed them and give them lots of love. Volunteers are required to sign a liability waiver form and attend two training sessions.
Enjoy driving? You can provide services to seniors and/or disabled people by driving them to appointments and errands. Mileage reimbursement is available. Volunteers must have a vehicle, valid driver's license and proof of insurance. They also must pass a background check and have and no more than two moving violations in three years.
Medical center family room: Family room volunteers maintain a friendly, caring atmosphere so families can relax and "get away" while still being close to their child. Volunteers must attend two hours of training, have a tuberculosis test and undergo a health screening.
Docents: Learn about plants and animals and global and local weather patterns that create the world's desert. Then learn how to teach, interact with and inform others. Lead tours and interpret the fascinations of the desert for park visitors.
