A body was found after a house fire was put out Sunday morning in a central Tucson neighborhood.

Tucson Fire Department firefighters were dispatched at 11:28 a.m. to the 1900 block of North Julius Stravenue, near North Craycroft Road and East Pima Street, said Capt. Barrett Baker, a fire department spokesman.

Firefighters arrived in four minutes and the blaze was under control in 16 minutes, Baker said.

The body was found inside the house after the fire was put out, Baker said.

The identity, sex or age were not immediately known, said Baker.

Tucson Police and Tucson Fire are conducting a joint investigation in the case, Baker said.

No further information was immediately available.
