Excited students showed their artwork one evening last week to friends, family and fellow students during the Tucson Hebrew Academy's sixth annual art show.
"I don't care about the quality of work. I want the kids to be able to come up with, create and present those ideas," said art teacher Jeremy Lerner. "It's for the kids to be able to show off the work that they did and to be proud of it."
Painting, wire sculpture, photography and claymation were just a few of the types of student artwork showcased on March 23.
"I have three girls at this school, and I can see how they change over the years and how they really learn art," said Abigail Tolby. "It's nice to see the different mediums they use."
The show featured refreshments and live music as well.
"I've been going here for seven years and it's cool to see all the projects in the different grades," said Madyssen Zarin, a seventh-grader at the academy.
