The Flowing Wells branch of the Pima County Public Library will reopen next week after damage caused by a fire Wednesday night is repaired.

The fire was contained to the storage areas and a bathroom of the library, 1730 W. Wetmore Road, Capt. Adam Goldberg, a Northwest Fire District spokesman, said in a news release.

The library will reopen Tuesday.

The smell of smoke and burned plastic is the biggest concern, Kenya Johnson, a spokeswoman for the Pima County Public Library, said in a news release.

Damage is estimated between $4,000 and $6,000, Goldberg said.

The Pima County Sheriff's Department is investigating the cause.
