The Flowing Wells branch of the Pima County Public Library will re-open next week after damage caused by a fire that broke out Wednesday night are repaired.

The fire was contained to the storage areas and a bathroom of the library, 1730 W. Wetmore Road, Capt. Adam Goldberg, a Northwest Fire District spokesman said in a news release.

The library will re-open on Feb. 19.

The smell of smoke and burnt plastic is the the biggest concern, Kenya Johnson, a spokeswoman for the Pima County Public Library said in a news release.

Damage is estimated between $4,000 and $6,000, Goldberg said.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the cause of the fire.
