St. Gregory College Preparatory School has been awarded a grant to start a middle school French club.

The grant was one of 10 awarded nationally by the American Association of Teachers of French.

The school received $150 from the national association, which was matched by the Arizona chapter for a total of $300.

The funds will be used to buy books and materials for the club, which will be open to middle school students with an advanced or near-native level of French.

Students will read stories, develop conversation skills, write and play games.
