Valeria Hutchings, an eighth-grader at Civano Community School during the 2012-13 school year, was among the students who showed their works at the school’s first art exhibit in April in the Teen Section of the Miller-Golf Links Library.

The colorful paintings displayed included works in tempera and watercolor.

Student artwork was exhibited through the summer, and new photos and art created by the school’s middle school students are being shown in several parts of the library this school year.

Civano Community School is a K-8 charter school in the Civano neighborhood on East Houghton Road.

The Miller-Golf Links Library is at 9640 E. Golf Links Road.
