The Pima County Sheriff’s Department wants to make it harder for identity thieves to steal.

That’s why the department, in partnership with Arizona Verified Destruction, is having a drive-through shred-a-ton from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday in the parking lot of the Kino Sports Complex, 2500 E. Ajo Way.

The service is free for individuals. Documents from businesses will not be accepted.
