A 41-year-old man who was shot at a home on Tucson's south side just after midnight Friday, has died, Tucson police said.

The man was shot at a home in the 2000 block of South Campbell Avenue south of East Silverlake Road, after a confrontation with a houseguest, said Sgt. Chris Widmer, spokesman for the Tucson Police Department. The victim died at a hospital several hours later.

Between five and 10 people were at the home when the shooting occurred. Before police arrived, some of the witnesses left and some stayed, Widmer said.

Detectives have not yet identified a suspect nor a motive, he said.
