A 47-year-old Tucson woman was taken to University of Arizona Medical Center with life-threatening injuries Wednesday morning after a one-vehicle rollover crash.

Northwest Fire District firefighters received a call shortly after 10:15 a.m. about a crash on North Lloyd Bush Drive near Ironwood Hills Drive and Camino de Oeste, said Capt. Adam Goldberg.

They found a Toyota Scion in a ditch next to a Palo Verde tree. A woman was trapped inside the SUV.

It took firefighters using specialized equipment more than 30 minutes to get the woman out of the vehicle, Goldberg said.

The SUV rolled end-over-end and side-over-side multiple times, Goldberg said.

Pima County sheriff's Deputy Tom Peine said speed was a factor in the crash.

A dog riding in the SUV wasn't hurt, Peine said.
