Tucson police need help identifying three robbers who beat a convenience store clerk and a customer before stealing cartons of cigarettes.
In what police are calling a “brazen robbery,” the three men entered a Circle K, 2802 N. Stone Ave., at about 4:45 a.m. Oct. 13 and one walked behind the counter and assaulted the clerk. When a customer tried to intervene, the trio beat him too, said Sgt. Maria Hawke, a spokeswoman for the Tucson Police Department.
The three robbers appear to be between 18 and 22 years old and all had goatees at the time of the robbery.
The one who initially attacked the clerk stands between 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-8-inches tall, weighing 160 to 180 pounds and was wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans, black shoes and an Oakland As baseball cap. He was carrying a black backpack.
A second man stands 5-foot-2 to 5-foot-6, weighs 140 to 160 pounds and was wearing a gray shirt, long black shorts and black shoes.
The third man stands 6-foot-1 to 6-foot-3, weighs 170 to 180 pounds and was wearing a black T-shirt, blue shorts and black-and-white shoes.
Anyone with information should call 911 or 88-CRIME.
