Ammunition and two suspected explosive devices were removed by the Tucson police bomb squad from a north-side apartment complex.
Residents evacuated early Thursday from one building of the Mohave Apartments, 610 E. Mohave Road were allowed back into their apartments about 5 p.m., said Sgt. Chris Widmer, a Tucson Police Department spokesman.
The complex is located south of East Prince Road and west of North First Avenue. The neighborhood has been opened to traffic.
Shortly before 10 a.m., management of the complex was cleaning out an apartment after the tenant had been evicted, said Widmer.
A box of ammunition, and "other suspicious looking devices" were found in the apartment, Widmer said.
The apartment manager called 911, and police secured the area and requested the bomb squad, said Widmer.
Late Thursday afternoon, bomb squad personnel removed ammunition, and two devices with fuses that were filled with suspected explosive material, said Widmer.
No one was injured during the operation.
