Tucson police found a homicide victim’s missing SUV Sunday night.

The 1994 Ford Explorer belonging to 59-year-old George Martinez was found in the 100 block of East 28th Street at 9:45 p.m, Sgt. Chris Widmer, a Tucson police spokesman said in a news release.

The vehicle was not occupied and was impounded.

Martinez was found unconscious by his roommate at a home in the 2200 block of East 19th Street on Feb. 2, the release said.

Martinez had “obvious signs of trauma” and was pronounced dead at the scene, the release said.

The investigation is ongoing.
