Tucson police have found and identified a man and woman suspected of impersonating police officers for several months.

A vehicle with lights and sirens used by the pair to conduct traffic stops has also been impounded, said Sgt. Chris Widmer, a Tucson police spokesman, in a news release.

The pair have not been arrested, but charges are pending from the Pima County Attorney’s Office.

The man and woman are accused of dressing in police uniforms with police equipment and conducted traffic stops from Dec. 11, 2011 through June 10.
