A man suspected in a beer skip of a UA-area convenience store was arrested Friday southwest of downtown.

Santos Sanchez-Fimbres was taken into custody near South Mission and West Silverlake roads, said Sgt. Chris Widmer, a Tucson Police Department spokesman.

He is facing armed robbery and aggravated assault and was booked into the Pima County jail, said Widmer.

Sanchez-Fimbres was identified as the suspect in connection with a May 18 beer skip at the Circle K at 3155 E. Speedway.

A man entered the Circle K shortly before 7 p.m. and picked up a 30-pack of beer from the display case. As he was leaving the store, he pointed a gun at the clerk.
