An 18-year-old man died of a gunshot wound to the chest this afternoon in South Tucson.

South Tucson Police received a call reporting a possible shooting at about 2:45 p.m. on South 10th Avenue and West 29th Street, said Lt. Jeff Inorio of the South Tucson Police Department.

The suspect, a man with dark hair, ran on foot.

The investigation is ongoing, but Inorio said investigators suspect the victim and the suspect knew each other.

The name of the victim has not been released.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the police department or call 911.
