The Pima County Sheriff's Department is hiring 911 dispatchers.
Applications will be accepted until March 8.
Trainees will attend a dispatch academy in July or September where they will participate in eight weeks of lectures, scenarios, hands-on and technology-based training, and they will then complete 16 weeks of on-the-job training.
The Sheriff's Department is hosting a Facebook chat with supervisors from the department's Communications Unit who will answer questions about the dispatcher position, and the hiring and training process.
