Tucson police are asking for the public’s help in identifying three men suspected in gym locker thefts on the city’s east side.

Since August, victims have reported more than 12 instances where they locked belongings in gym lockers while they exercised, and returned to find the locks broken and their property gone, said Sgt. Chris Widmer, a Tucson Police Department spokesman.

In several cases, victims’ credit cards were immediately used at nearby stores before the thefts were discovered.

In other cases, keys were stolen from the lockers and items were taken from victims’ vehicles.

The thefts have occurred in both men’s and women’s locker rooms, and were reported at the following gyms:

LA Fitness at 240 S. Wilmot Road.

LA Fitness at 9350 E. Golf Links Road.

Platinum Fitness at 9550 E. Golf Links Road.

Platinum Fitness at 5851 E. Speedway.

Desert Fitness at 2480 N. Pantano Road.

Surveillance cameras captured the images of three men who are suspected in the thefts, Widmer said. Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
