Police released the names of three people injured in a drug-related explosion Monday on the northwest side.

Francisco Sandoval, 29, Vanessa Ybarra, 28, and Wesley Dunson, 20, were arrested in connection with the explosion at a town home in the 3900 block of North Pomona Road, near North Flowing Wells and West Roger roads, a police spokesman said. Sandoval and Ybarra were booked into the Pima County jail.

Dunson remains in a hospital with non-life-threatening burns suffered in the explosion, said Capt. Barrett Baker, a Tucson Fire Department spokesman.

The three face charges of conspiracy to manufacture a narcotic drug, unlawful possession of a narcotic drug for sale, and unlawful possession of marijuana for sale, said police Sgt. Chris Widmer.

The explosion and fire occurred as the residents were using highly flammable solvent butane to try to "extract hash oil from marijuana," Widmer said.
