Tucson police are searching for a man wanted in connection with a child-porn investigation.

Mark Philip Grimes, 46, was supposed to surrender to police on Sept. 27, but he did not follow through on the arrangement and police hope the public can help find him, Sgt. Chris Widmer said in a news release Wednesday.

The probe started in August after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children told police child pornography was being shared from a Tucson email address.

Police linked the address to Grimes and served a search warrant on his home in the 6700 block of East Barrow Street, near South Kolb and East Escalante roads.

Grimes is wanted on suspicion of 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

Grimes is believed to have been in Albuquerque when the search was made, but police believe he might be back in Tucson.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME, the anonymous tip line.
