A 39-year-old man was killed in a collision on West Grant Road Sunday morning.

The crash happened just east of Interstate 10 shortly after 5:15 a.m. when the driver of a Kia Rio traveling west on Grant crossed the median and into eastbound lanes, hitting a Honda Accord head-on, Sgt. Chris Widmer, a Tucson police spokesman, said in a news release.

The driver of the Honda, Steven Williams, was pronounced dead at the scene, the release said.

The driver of the Kia, 20-year-old Thomas Lancaster, was booked into Pima County jail on suspicion of one count each of second-degree murder and felony criminal damage, the release said. Alcohol was a factor in the crash, the release said.

Lancaster had minor injuries.
