Oro Valley police are asking the public for help in finding a 38-year-old man who is facing domestic violence and kidnapping charges.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Adam Christopher Sheafe who is wanted on charges of domestic violence/aggravated assault, and domestic violence/kidnapping, said Lt. Kara Riley, an Oro Valley Police Department spokeswoman, on Wednesday.

On Monday at 11 p.m., police went to a home near North La Cañada Drive and West Lambert Lane for a report of a domestic violence incident, Riley said.

A woman told police she had been choked and held against her will by Sheafe, Riley said.

Police did not find Sheafe at the house.

Investigators are asking anyone with information about Sheafe's whereabouts to call 911, 88-CRIME or Oro Valley police at 229-4900.
