A man suspected of filming people in a unisex bathroom at the airport business he worked at was arrested last week.
On Dec. 27, a female employee of Tucson Jet Center, discovered a small camera mounted and taped to a door closure mechanism after using the bathroom, and took it off and notified airport police, according to search warrant documents.
Detectives reviewed the footage and identified the person who mounted the camera as Steven Frame, 53, who has worked at the private company, which offers fuel, charter services and aircraft storage.
Frame, who worked for the company 17 years, admitted to mounting the camera the woman found. he also admitted to mounting another camera onto the bottom of the toilet tank, the document said.
When detectives asked Frame why he mounted the cameras he said “he guessed for sexual gratification,” the search warrant said.
Detectives found a second memory card and a rubber cover that matched the camera that was found on the door during Frame’s arrest.
He was arrested on suspicion of one count each of voyeurism and surreptitious photographing, videotaping or digitally recording or viewing, and booked into Pima County jail.
Detectives searched Frame’s home for additional evidence. The investigation is ongoing.
