Three men were captured in South Tucson on Friday in connection with a home invasion on the west side. Police continue to search for a fourth man.
Shortly after 10 a.m., a 911 caller reported armed men who were kicking in the door of a house in the 2400 block of South Cottonwood Lane, said Lt. Christian Wildblood, a Tucson Police Department spokesman. The neighborhood is near West Silverlake and South Mission roads.
The men left in an SUV as patrol officers were arriving at the house, and the driver of the SUV tried to ram a squad car but missed it, Wildblood said.
Officers followed the vehicle to an alley in the 100 block of West 30th Street, near South Seventh Avenue. Four men ran from the SUV, two were detained by police, and a third was flushed out when a SWAT team threw a stun grenade into a yard.
