A man wanted for homicide and another wanted for manslaughter were apprehended this weekend by Border Patrol agents in the Tucson sector.

Friday morning, agents assigned to the Brian A. Terry Station arrested a Mexican national near Naco, Ariz. who had two outstanding warrants out of South Carolina for homicide and flight to avoid prosecution, according to a news release. He was turned over to Cochise County Sheriff’s Office for extradition.

On Saturday, agents from the same station arrested another person for illegally entering the U.S. near Naco. During the process, the agents discovered the man was convicted in 1993 for voluntary manslaughter in Teton County, Wyo.

Everyone apprehended by the Border Patrol undergoes criminal history checks using a fingerprint identification system, according to the border patrol.
