Body found on Mt. Lemmon believed to be of missing woman

A hiker on Mount Lemmon found the body of a woman Tuesday afternoon, and deputies believe it is that of a missing Oro Valley woman.

The deceased woman fits the description of Janet Rennspies, the 51-year-old woman missing since last Wednesday, the Pima County Sheriff's Department said in a news release Tuesday night.

Rennspies' car was found last week in a parking lot on Mount Lemmon.

Sheriff's homicide unit detectives are investigating. No further details were released.
