Authorities have identified a woman who died Wednesday in a mobile home fire near Marana.

Betty Chrestman, 55, was inside the home in the 10500 block of North Wasson Avenue when it caught fire just after 2 p.m. Wednesday, Northwest Fire District spokesman Adam Goldberg said.

When firefighters from Northwest as well as the Avra Valley and Picture Rocks fire districts arrived on scene they found the home engulfed in flames. Downed power lines that fell on a chain link fence surrounding the home prevented them from getting inside to reach Chrestman, Goldberg said.

Investigators are still trying to determine the fire’s cause, he said.
